At the same time, it enables an efficient ascent technique with maximum freedom of movement with a shaft rotation of 55 degrees. In combination with the low weight of 1,450 grams, a natural and energy-saving walking movement is made possible even on very steep terrain. The reduced toe, the so-called speed nose, not only enables a weight reduction of 15 percent, but also ensures 12 percent more efficient rolling behavior with its pivot point set back by 4mm. With a last width of 103.5 mm, Ultra Lock Strap and the three finely adjustable buckles, the foot is perfectly framed to achieve top performance downhill even in challenging terrain. The quick and easy change between uphill and downhill is done with a single kick thanks to the patent-pending Hoji Lock system: the ski walk mechanism is connected to the buckles and the Ultra Lock Strap via a cable system. To switch to downhill mode, all you have to do is turn the rear lever. The shoe is blocked at a position of 11 degrees and ready for enjoyable descents.
